How We Evaluate
Our rankings are based on independent research and public data — not sponsored placements or affiliate payouts. Here's exactly how we evaluate every hosting provider.
Speed Testing
We review Time to First Byte (TTFB), full page load data, and availability signals from public sources and our own spot checks where available. We label measured data clearly and avoid presenting estimates as lab-grade test results.
Uptime Monitoring
Every provider is monitored for availability at regular intervals. We track the percentage of successful responses over the monitoring period and report it transparently. A provider claiming "99.9% uptime" needs to prove it with actual data, not marketing copy.
Support Testing
We contact each provider's support team with realistic questions — migration help, configuration issues, billing queries. We measure response time and answer quality to give you a sense of what to expect if you ever need help.
Value Assessment
Price alone doesn't tell the full story. We evaluate what you get for your money: storage, bandwidth, included features (SSL, CDN, backups), and renewal pricing. A cheap host that charges triple on renewal isn't a good deal.
Editorial Independence
We do not currently earn commissions through affiliate links. Our rankings are based on independent research and public data, not affiliate payout rates. We maintain full editorial control over every review and ranking. If a provider performs poorly, it ranks poorly — regardless of any potential affiliate relationship.
Corrections & Updates
Hosting performance changes over time. We re-test providers regularly and update our reviews when significant changes occur. If you spot an error in our data, contact us and we'll investigate and correct it.
